Soak
Armor and some CyberTech reduce the amount of damage an Operator receives from an enemy’s attack. This damage reduction is called Soak. Whenever an Operator receives damage, they subtract their Soak value from that damage first and then remove the remaining damage from their . Soak can never reduce damage below 1.
Players should add the Soak value of all the armor their Operator is wearing to determine the character’s total Soak. Certain types of wearable armor do not stack (noted in the Armor’s description); if the Operator is wearing such armor they can not add the Soak from any additional pieces.
Special
Some Armor has additional benefits or disadvantages.
